About the Aerospace Education Corporation

AEC_LearntoFlyAerospace Education Corporation is a not-for-profit organization created by members of the Long Island aviation community, to promote aviation education to Long Island students. Aviation related jobs represent a major source of employment on Long Island, but there is a shortage of educated workers. AEC exposes students to the different career opportunities available to them on Long Island.

AEC held it's first career fair in September 2006, and was an immediate success. The Career Fairs will be held every other year – on even numbered years. In 2006 AEC was recognized by the FAA Eastern Region and received the Regional Administrator's Award for Extraordinary Service.

Bill is the Director of Special Projects & Development for Sheltair, and Aviation Development and FBO company based out of Fort Lauderdale Florida, with a presence at 20 airports, 5 of which are in New York.   He is a graduate of the Academy of Aeronautics (Now Vaughn College), and has worked in the aviation industry for 31 years. Bill is the President and Founder of the Aerospace Education Corporation (AEC), founder and Past President the Long Island Business Aviation Association (LIBAA), and current Treasurer and Past President of New York Management Association (NYAMA).

Jennifer is one of the founding board members of AEC which was created in 2006 and also serves as the Career Fair Coordinator. From her past work with AEC, Jennifer received the FAA Eastern Region the Regional Administrator’s Award for Extraordinary Service.Jennifer’s career in aviation began over 10 years ago and currently holds the position of Business Development Manager at Talon Air Inc. in Farmingdale, NY. Prior to her role at Talon Air, Jennifer held sales and marketing positions at several private jet companies. In addition to her position at AEC, Jennifer is the Secretary of the Long Island Business Aviation Association. Jennifer received her BBA in Management from Hofstra University.

Donald is the Director of Finance for CSC Aviation Department and has worked for Cablevision Systems Corporation for the past 16 years. In addition to his role at Cablevision, Donald has been an adjunct professor at Dowling’s School of Business since 2003. Donald joined AEC in 2014 as Executive Board Treasurer.

After a fifteen-year career as a paralegal, Deborah’s passion for aviation combined with her business administrative skills led her to a position in the flight operations department at a local college. She was subsequently hired as the Security Coordinator at Republic Airport in 2008. Deborah holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management & Economics from SUNY Empire State College. Deborah joined Aerospace Education Corporation (AEC) in 2010. She was named the Executive Board Secretary of AEC in 2013.
