AEC’s 2nd Aviation Career Fair was held on September 25th and 26th 2008 at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, NY.  This event was a complete success.  The event was attended by over 900 students and public attendees.  There were 30 exhibitors on hand and 12 aircraft that were available on static display.

AEC will be hosting its 3rd Aviation Career Fair on September 23rd and 24th, 2010 from 9am - 3pm. The event will take place at the Republic Airport Main Terminal in Farmingdale, NY (7150 Republic Airport, Farmingdale, NY 11735).  The goal of this event is to introduce both middle and high school students to the various careers available in the aviation industry.  Please note this is a career fair and not a job fair, and we can not guarantee that recruiters for exhibitors will be at the event.

Students will be able to walk among many exhibit booths, aircraft static displays, and speak directly with aviation training schools, as well as aviation professionals currently working in the careers listed above. Students will learn about the required training, education options, application process and job responsibilities that make up this dynamic industry.

The event will be exclusively devoted to schools in Nassau and Suffolk counties. We are expecting over 1000 students to attend this two-day event. For this reason, please submit your information as early as possible to secure attendance to this event, as preference for days will be given on a first come first serve basis.  AEC does reserve the right to ask a school to attend on their “non-preferred” date. Transportation to the airport will be the responsibility of the participating school districts. Please be sure to contact your district’s bus company early to reserve the dates.

There is no fee for attending this event and food and beverages will be available for sale.
